Staff Awards for UNC Employees
Consider nominating exceptional UNC School of Medicine employees for employee recognition awards both at the School of Medicine and at the University level:
Dean’s Performance Awards
The Dean’s Office announces an annual Dean’s Performance Award, created to honor exceptional School of Medicine staff not eligible for UNC Health Care Cash Awards.
Nominees will have demonstrated exceptional performance by an individual or group effort that make significant contributions to help us reach our vision to be the top public School of Medicine; one $1,000 award will be given for each of the 6 strategic imperatives outlined in the SOM Strategic Plan.
Peers or supervisors may recommend exceptional coworkers for the awards through their ACA, Business Managers or Administration Department Heads for submission. Each department, center or administration office will then submit up to 6 nominations (1 for each of 6 strategic areas: Research, Education, Faculty, Community Service, Diversity, Administrative Infrastructure) to the Dean’s Office for consideration.
5.28.20 – Dean’s Performance Awards Postponed. Nominations provided previously through ACA’s, basic science and center business managers, or administration department heads for submission will be considered when the awards are reinstated.
