Welcome to SHARE Mentor Mixers! This program is designed to bring together leaders as mentors and mentees in a supportive environment focused on ongoing engagement and professional growth. By participating, you’ll have the chance to share knowledge, collaborate and develop meaningful connections that help retain and inspire team members.
If you are a leader and interested in being a mentee, please complete this form by Friday, Dec. 5. If prompted for a login, please use your UNC Health credentials.
Program Objective
The primary goal of the mentor program is to facilitate the sharing of knowledge, collaboration, skills and experiences between mentors and mentees. This program goes beyond traditional mentorship by emphasizing not only knowledge transfer but also fostering a dynamic, collaborative environment that encourages both mentors and mentees to develop and be actively engaged. Through this collaboration, we aim to foster individual development and contribute to the overall success of our team.

Program Structure

Matching: Leader mentors and mentees will be randomly matched.

Meetings: Mentors and mentees typically meet once a month, with the frequency and format of meetings determined by the mentorship pair.

Duration: Each pair should have conversations between December 2025 and March 2026. Mentoring pairs can decide how many conversations to have but we suggest one a month. Mentoring relationships may be extended if mutually agreed upon by both parties.
Expectations

Commitment: Both mentors and mentees are expected to commit to their agreed-upon duration.

Open Communication: An open and honest dialogue is encouraged. Share your goals, challenges and expectations with your mentor/mentee.

Respect: Show respect for each other’s time, opinions and experiences. A supportive and constructive approach is key.

Engagement: Both mentors and mentees are expected to actively engage in regular and meaningful communication, proactively seek learning opportunities and contribute to a collaborative and supportive mentoring community.
How to Get Started

Workshop: Attend a Mentor Workshop or Mentee Workshop event to learn more about the program, its guidelines and how to be a mentor/mentee. Workshops to be announced.

Match: Wait for your mentor or mentee match to be communicated to you through email.

Meet: Initiate contact with your match and schedule your first meeting.

Engage: Actively engage in mentoring relationships and setting goals.

Feedback: Provide feedback on your mentorship experience to help us continuously improve the program.
How to Stay Involved

Stay Committed: Commit to the mentorship for the agreed-upon duration and make it a priority in your professional development.

Be Proactive: Take the in scheduling meetings, proposing discussion topics, and seeking guidance, demonstrating your commitment to the mentorship relationship.

Regularly Review Goals: Periodically review and adjust goals to ensure they remain relevant and aligned with your mentorship objectives.

Seek Guidance: Don’t hesitate to seek guidance or clarification when needed. Your mentor is there to support you.
