The School of Medicine’s Leader as Coach program, offered in partnership with Pyramid Resource Group, was sunset last year after the final cohort in spring 2025.

After many months of planning, we are excited to announce we have created a new leadership coaching program, Practicing Coaching Skillsets (PCS), to educate participants on how to use generally accepted coaching concepts in our daily work with each other. PCS has been developed entirely by our in-house coaching team, and the content is grounded in coaching core competencies and elements of One UNC Health Culture Shifts.

Please note: there is a prerequisite for participation.  Future PCS participants are required to attend six Exploring Coaching Skillsets (ECS) sessions. ECS sessions are 1‑hour, virtual lunch-and-learns designed for individuals who want an introduction to leadership coaching skillsets. These sessions provide surface‑level education across a variety of coaching topics. PCS, by contrast, is a 7‑session program (14 total hours) and is designed to provide dedicated time to practice coaching skillsets.
