Resources for SECC/CCCS Campaign Team Captains
The UNC School of Medicine has a tradition of giving back to the community. A special thank you to our Team Captains in support of this year’s SECC/CCCS Campaign. Your participation ensures that we provide vital resources to local and national charities.
We have created this page to provide a recap of 2019 resources available to you. If you have other pieces that are helpful to add, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll add it!
What do Team Captains do?
The Training Guide provides a good resource that provides checklists and responsibilities that may be helpful, especially for new Team Captains.
What Emails should employees be looking for?
- Employees in your department have received emails with direct links to this year’s campaign to pledge online (vs paper forms used previously). Both UNC and UNCHS employees are receiving personalized emails and reminder emails with direct links:
- UNC Employees will receive emails from: Your SECC Team@ncsecc.org
- UNC Health Care Employees will receive emails from: SECCCampaign@unchealth.unc.edu
Pickups for Paper Forms and Checks:
Note: this information has been revised
Although we strongly encourage online submission of pledge forms and donations, we do have faculty and staff that may not participate if a paper option is not available.
We will have a courier come to the Dean’s Office every Thursday at 11:30am. If you have paper forms and checks, please drop off donations in the box at the reception desk (4030 Bondurant Hall)
If your coworkers have problems with the unique link provided by email reminder each week, remember that these emails cannot be forwarded. However, they can use the “Give Now” button here http://carolinacares.unc.edu/ which will ask for Onyen sign in and take them to a secured site.
If someone would like to donate to the work we do at the SOM, that code is 2558!
Giving Guides will not be printed this year. Share this link. Consider printing a desk copy for your team members to reference for employees that have found a printed resource helpful in the past.
SECC also provides a searchable database on their website: https://www.ncsecc.org/
