Leading Transformation in Academic Medicine is a cohort-based, mid-career leadership development program designed to provide next generation leaders with the intricate knowledge and skills to lead in the increasingly complex domains of health care and medical education.

The Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development has chosen a cohort to participate in the program’s inaugural class. The cohort members are:

  • Nikki Binz, MD – emergency medicine
  • Kristy Borawski, MD – urology
  • Lauren Burke, MD – radiology
  • Misty Good, MD, MS – pediatrics /neonatal-perinatal medicine
  • Karen Halpert, MD, MS – family medicine
  • Sean Mclean, MD – surgery
  • Arielle Perez, MD – surgery
  • Jeremy Purvis, PhD – genetics
  • Shana Ratner, MD, MS – general medicine and clinical epidemiology
  • Nate Sowa, MD, PhD – psychiatry

Faculty who are interested in participating in this program in future years should share their interest with their department chair. Nomination announcements will be advertised in spring 2024 via Vital Signs.
