Applications to the Passing the Torch: Fostering Medical Humanism through Faculty Role Models program will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11. Passing the Torch is a faculty development program within the Academy of Educators that is uniquely suited to Clinician Educator faculty seeking to develop further patient care and teaching skills with a person-centered model. The program is facilitated by Jennifer McEntee, MD, MPH. More information on the program and the application submission process can be found here.
Participants will be expected to attend bi-weekly sessions from October 2023 through June 2024. Timing will depend upon the availability of the group.
Required Application Materials include:
- One-page letter of recommendation from the department chair, division chief, or designee
- Nominee CV, and
- Brief statement from the nominee outlining why they would like to participate (limit to one page)
