The UNC School of Medicine received a record number of applications for spring 2024 Staff Development Grants, which were issued on Feb. 9.  

In total, 133 grants were issued for the 2024 program. The awarded grants will cover conference travel, certifications, tuition reimbursement and leadership training for School of Medicine staff members. UNC School of Medicine Human Resources as well as Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development contributed funds toward this year’s grants. 

“I am always so excited when I see our staff taking steps to achieve their professional development goals. These teammates do so much to support the School of Medicine achieve its aspirations and I’m proud that the school is able to support them back,” said Associate Dean for Administration Karlina Matthews, MBA. 

The School of Medicine has awarded 455 staff professional development grants over the past three years.
