Erin Malloy, MD, Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, will serve as Associate Director for Faculty Affairs & Advancement in the UNC SOM Office of Faculty Affairs & Leadership Development.

In this role, Erin will provide oversight to the faculty affairs operations, including Annual Faculty Reviews, Five-Year Department Chair and Center Director Reviews, Post-Tenure Reviews and Standing Committee Elections. She will collaborate with Human Resources, APT Committees, the Provost’s Office, Department Chairs, Dean’s Office, and other key stakeholders to support faculty advancement and vitality.

Erin brings a thoughtful blend of APT experience, collaborative leadership, strategic insight, and emotional intelligence—qualities essential for success in this role.

Erin will report to Dr. Angie Smith, Interim Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development, and she will transition into the role this month.
