Dear UNC School of Medicine Community,
As Match Day approaches, anticipation is building across the School of Medicine. This day marks the transition from student to physician in training and reflects years of learning, growth, and commitment to our patients and communities.
For some members of the Class of 2026, this milestone has already arrived through early matches. We are incredibly proud of our classmates who have secured positions in their chosen specialties and are thrilled to celebrate their accomplishments alongside the rest of our class on Match Day. Their successes are a testament not only to their hard work, but also to the strength of the UNC community that helped support them along the way.
Match Day is also an opportunity to recognize the collective effort behind every student’s journey. Our faculty, residents, staff, and mentors have challenged us, encouraged us, and shaped us into the physicians we are becoming. We are deeply grateful for the role each of you has played in helping us reach this point.
