Kelly Bossenbroek Fedoriw, MD, has accepted the role of assistant dean for the clinical curriculum. She begins work in the role starting May 1, 2026.

Currently, Dr. Bossenbroek Fedoriw is a professor and director of medical student programs in family medicine, as well as interim faculty director of clinical curriculum.

She joined the School of Medicine in 2010 after earning her MD from the Medical College of Ohio and completing her family medicine residency at Brown University School of Medicine’s Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.

Her achievements at UNC include several awards, such as the Medical Alumni Distinguished Professorship from the UNC Alumni Association and the George Wolff Award from Whitehead Medical Society.

Dr. Bossenbroek Fedoriw has published widely, with research interests that include clinical education, primary care quality improvement, chronic pain management, substance use disorders, population health, learner feedback methods, and family medicine curriculum innovations.

In her new role, she will guide the clinical curriculum throughout all stages of the Medical Doctorate program, collaborating with the associate dean for curricular affairs, the assistant dean for preclinical curriculum, and the senior director for curricular affairs.
