Sarah Shipp has stepped down from her role as the Department of Dermatology associate chair for administration. She will transition to becoming finance and budget manager in the School of Medicine Finance & Business Operations unit in January.
Shipp took on the Department of Dermatology’s ACA role in January 2021, following her work as a financial reporting manager in the School of Medicine’s Finance and Business Operations unit.
As ACA in dermatology, Shipp served as the unit’s administrative and regulatory leader in clinical and research spaces. She oversaw the department’s clinical expansions, missions and business functions, and directed its financial planning and management.
Shipp joined the FBO team in 2014. Prior to joining the UNC School of Medicine, Shipp worked in the private sector with Lenovo and IBM, where she led teams around financial and data analyses to guide decision making.
A search for a successor is underway.
