Leadership in Academic Medicine Program (LAMP) celebrated its first school-wide, interdisciplinary cohort graduation in April! This professional development program is designed for SOM faculty in their first 3 years to help build community and confidence.

23 new faculty representing 14 medical and basic science departments, gathered over 8 months to dedicate time and energy to career planning and professional development. Twelve (12) amazing speakers delivered 16 hours of content related to skills for success in academic medicine like communication, time management, finance, and networking. Nine (9) experienced faculty provided small group mentorship and 16 senior faculty agreed to meet with participants one-on-one for individualized feedback on their career development plans.
