David Darr, associate director of administration at UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, announced that he will step down on Sept. 5 to become associate dean for administration at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Nursing.

Darr has been a cornerstone of UNC Lineberger’s administrative leadership, helping guide its growth into one of the nation’s most respected comprehensive cancer centers. His contributions have been instrumental in shaping the center’s strategic direction, strengthening its operations, and advancing its mission to improve cancer research, care and education across North Carolina.

The UNC School of Medicine Dean’s Office and UNC Lineberger have launched a search to fill the position. With the center’s strong national reputation and continued growth, they are well-positioned to recruit a leading expert in cancer center administration.
