The second annual Community Health Impact Awards (CHIA) was a vibrant celebration of purpose, progress, and people. Held on Oct. 23, the event brought together teammates, faculty, staff, learners, and partners from across UNC Health and the UNC School of Medicine to honor those who are transforming care and strengthening communities across North Carolina. Several members of the neurology faculty were celebrated during the event.

This year’s honorees reflect the heart of our mission — driving meaningful progress in patient care, education, and research to improve lives across North Carolina. Whether through hands-on clinical innovation or deep-rooted community collaboration, their work is helping to remove barriers, strengthen partnerships, and deliver lasting impact where it’s needed most.

We’re proud to recognize these outstanding individuals and teams, nominated by their peers for their commitment to access and excellence in care.
