The Program for Precision Medicine in Health Care (PPMH) recently launched a new membership structure in conjunction with its new website. Comprised of eight clinical, research, and educational initiatives, PPMH aims to advance the implementation of evidence-based precision medicine and precision health care.

Prospective members should complete the membership application survey, which can also be found on the membership page of the website, and a committee will review your submission. Once approved for membership, you will be notified via email and, with permission granted by you in the membership survey, added to the online PPMH membership directory. Membership is currently only available for UNC-Chapel Hill and UNC Health affiliates.

PPMH members will receive many benefits, including the following:

  1. Eligibility for PPMH funding (pilot projects and NC TraCS matching funds)
  2. Official recognition on our website for advancing the field of precision medicine through publications or awarded grants
  3. Contributing to building the precision medicine community at UNC
  4. Discounts on PPMH-affiliated core services (such as GENYSIS)
  5. Priority invitations to present at PPMH mini-symposia and workshops
  6. Professional development training
  7. PPMH letters of support for funding proposals

By building a membership network within PPMH, we are striving to establish a stronger precision medicine community at UNC, increase visibility of PPMH within UNC and UNC Health communities, and facilitate future precision medicine-related endeavors at UNC by identifying members with specific interests and expertise.
