Concussion – Management of concussion is a critical element of Primary Care Sports Medicine training, and we are fortunate to have exceptional resources available to provide education from the forefront of concussion care.

• UNC Family Medicine/Sports Medicine – Our Family Medicine Sports Medicine faculty provide comprehensive concussion diagnosis and management services in the Chapel Hill and Durham offices, at Saturday morning High School Injury Clinics
• UNC Campus Health Sports Medicine – UNC varsity student-athletes as well as many other members of the student body receive concussion care through Sports Medicine, with fellows often serving as the primary provider for affected patients
• Matthew Gfeller Sport-Related Traumatic Brain Injury Research Center – This world-renowned concussion research center located in the heart of the Sports Medicine facilities on campus keeps us connected with the latest developments in concussion research
• Carolina Sports Concussion Clinic – This high-volume community-based extension of Carolina Family Practice and Sports Medicine affords our fellows extensive opportunity to put their concussion knowledge into practice under the guidance of experienced community Sports Medicine providers
