How to Log In
To edit content on your School of Medicine website, you must first log in to WordPress.
Access the Login Page
Every SOM WordPress site uses the same login pattern. To access the login page, add /wp-admin to the end of your website’s URL.
Examples:
- https://your-site-url/wp-admin
- https://www.med.unc.edu/neurology/wp-admin
- https://www.med.unc.edu/medicine/cardiology/wp-admin
- https://unclineberger.org/wp-admin
This will take you to the WordPress login screen.
Login Link in the Site Footer
All SOM websites include a Login link in the School of Medicine footer. This link provides another way to access the WordPress login.
Scroll to the bottom of the website and click Login. You will be directed to the same login screen used by /wp-admin.
Log In With Your ONYEN
School of Medicine websites use UNC Single Sign-On (SSO).
Enter your UNC ONYEN and password when prompted. After logging in, you will be redirected to the WordPress Dashboard, where you can manage and edit content on your site.
Health Care employees that don’t have an Onyen can obtain an affiliate Onyen.
How to Log Out
Once you are logged in, the Login link in the site footer changes to Log Out. Clicking this link will sign you out of the site.
You can also log out from the WordPress Admin Bar.
- Hover over your username in the top-right corner of the admin bar.
- Click Log Out.
Logging out is recommended when using a shared or public computer to help protect your account.
